From an early age, Dr. James Vandal (pronounced Van-Dell) knew he wanted to be a chiropractor. After receiving his first few chiropractic adjustments at the age of 10 from his uncle, a licensed chiropractor in New York, he proudly told his parents, “This is what I want to do for the rest of my life.” Dr. James is a Wisconsin native with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Portland State University. Following his undergraduate degree, he went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Life West Chiropractic College in Hayward, California. During his time there, he interned in a few well-known chiropractic clinics in the Bay Area while honing his craft. He stayed in California for several years practicing as a chiropractor before returning to Oregon, where he has held an active license since 2015.
Having been a victim of multiple car crashes over the years and experiencing the devastating consequences of these injuries, he has taken an interest in motor vehicle collisions and how chiropractic can successfully rehabilitate the injured car crash patient. He has taken numerous continuing educational courses on motor vehicle collisions and is currently completing a 100-hour certification course in Trauma Qualification through the prestigious Academy of Chiropractic. Besides focusing on motor vehicle collisions, Dr. James has a passion for soft-tissue work, which has led him to be certified in Neuromuscular Re-Education, Graston, and Active Release Technique (ART). Lastly, while in California, he attained certification as a Qualified Medical Examiner (Q.M.E.) for the injured worker.
“My favorite part of being a chiropractor at Veeva is taking patients that have been in serious car accidents and being able to rehabilitate their injuries fully. Most patients underestimate the injuries sustained from a car crash. A big part of my job is to educate patients about the recovery process to get the best results. While I love using my hands to get people feeling better, that’s only one piece of the puzzle. Patients need to understand the expectations required of them to reach their healing goals.”
Dr. Brandon Pearson is a sports and personal injury chiropractor who grew up in the Midwest and moved to Oregon to avoid shoveling the driveway. Brandon studied many different techniques in Chiropractic College so he would be able to offer care to a wide variety of patients.
Outside of work, Brandon is an avid outdoorsman who loves camping, hiking, snowboarding and just spending time outside. His other interests include reading, playing with his dog, Herky, and annoying his friends and family with random facts about history or astronomy. Brandon is passionate about health and wellness and loves nothing more than helping others live their lives to the fullest potential.
